new carb bf8d - screws preset?

Bit of a newbie question, but I've got a new carb to fit to my BF8D.

Should the idle and pilot screws be pre-set to approximately the right number of turns on the new carb straight from factory?

Wondering if I should expect to just have to do very minor adjustments to allow for age of my engine, or will need to properly calibrate them from scratch?

Not got a lot of experience - so haven't quite the 'the ear' for getting mixture right yet.

In my experience, the screws come preset where they are close enough for the engine to start and run. Don't expect any more. They'll need to be set by the carb installer for THAT motor, under the conditions you find most frequently.
