New Boat Owner with Multiple Issues

Hi Everyone,

Volvo Penta 130C with 270 Drive

So as stated in the title I am a new boat owner and am having a couple issues. First, major issue is today I was out and hit some very shallow water and bottomed out it did some pretty good damage to the Skag and and Prop. After getting back into some deeper water I was only able to move at low RPM once I gave it a little throttle it would not go anywhere. It did not overheat and the motor was still running strong. Second issue or question is when the motor runs and starts to warm up I notice there is some white creamy oil that come out of the (breather plug) I only know its the breather plug because I found the manual that pointed it out online. Would anyone know why this oil is coming out? Third, where is the oil mark suppose to be on the dipstick. It only has about a 1" indentation on the actual stick?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

A lot of issues there for sure. There are plenty of people that can definitely answer better than me, but right off the top it sounds like the prop will need to be rebuilt or replaced. The good news is that those props are relatively cheap compared to a Duo Prop set. Right now the prop is either badly mangled or it may have even spun which is why you would not go anywhere when applying power. The Skeg damage may be something you want to have looked at by a shop also depending upon how bad it is. Any time you see white creamy oil, or oil that looks like a milkshake, it's contaminated with something. Most times on a boat, it's water.
