New 4.5L Mercury Engine

I have a 2015 Four Winns H190SS with the new 4.5 Mercury Marine built engine in it. I can't find any aftermarket company that makes a thru hull exhaust for that engine package yet. I talked to Corsa marine exhaust and they said they needed the ok from mercury to build a Captian's Choice exhaust system for that engine. I then called Mecury Marine and they said they do not recommend putting thru hull on that engine because of possibly water coming back into the engine because of the exhaust manifold design. They also said they were not going to give the ok to build any type of kit now or in the future. Any info?

Funny how you have to point out the obvious. This is a good example of "I will ask around until I get the opinion I want to hear" no matter what the experts say.

that's probably a trick. I bet it's like the Ford Mustang and F150's and stuff, where the sound is generated from the sound amplifying design of the plastic intake, not the exhaust.
