New 4.3 strange overheating problem? Please help I,m going crazy

Hi there I seem to be having a very strange problem...I will explain...I recently purchased a brand new 4.3 vortec with new water pump new risers new manifold carb sensors etc....whilst I was at it I had the out drive fully rebuilt...along with shift cable bellows etc.....and now I have a temperature alarm going after about 20mins of use, I'm a good mechanic and have checked all the usuall things ....sensors electrics flow etc but I cannot find the solution ....if you have any ideas , I'm listening.....thanks for your help in advance

Get a laser thermal temp gun and check the engine temps especially around the thermostat housing. You may have a defective temp sensor. Verify there is sufficient water flow by removing the inlet hose at the thermostat housing...fill the engine w/water first. If water flow is questionable check the other end where the hose connects to the inside of the gimbal...the incoming water passage can corrode and narrow.

Hi there thanks for the reply ...I do not have a temp gun but I can tell you that the risers are too hot to touch......all the sensors have been replaced and I have hi water flow rate coming in through the inlet and hi flow going into the risers

Ok so I have finally found the problem ......it turns out that I have a problem with corrosion on my inlet manifold that lead to a blockage of the lower cooling Chanel's of the engine .....it does not affect the flow of water but does affect the path with the water travels and therefor the engine was overheating.....thanks for all your help
