"Anybody knows anything about a kit that can be installed in a Volvo Penta to replace the fresh water flushing after a trip? Called Neutra Salt.
I understand it's simple to install and can be run with the boat in the water to clean the engine from salt residue.
I am interested on how to get this product and approximate cost and installation procedure.
If anybody can help, I would appreciate it.

The kit consists of

The kit consists of a reservior, an electric valve a switch and some fittings. The fittings tap into your raw water intake line. 45 seconds prior to shutting the engine down, hit the switch. This allows the neutralizer to enter the engines cooling system. It not only neutralizes the salt, but also cleans the cooling system. After the 45 seconds are up, simply turn the engine off. The system sells for $199.00, the solution sells for $36.95/gl. I would think a gallon would last all season, depending on how often you run. I just installed one in my boa

I just installed one in my boat this weekend. I have had it for about 5 months and finally installed it. It literally took me 45 minutes to install it. The most difficult thing was to find a place to mount my reservior due to lack of space.
