"I just recently ourchased a sailbaot that has an Evinrude 9.9 Yachtwin. I don't know the year and I was looking to get a owner's/repair manual. The only number I could find is some patent numbers and G3003711. I hope this is this serial number. If it isn't, where could I find it? Any help and information is very much appreciated.

I'm afraid you are going to need the actual model number to detirmine the year. There should be a nameplate on the motor or on the mounting bracket.

If it's not there, and you know the "approximate" year, you could get the Seloc manual which will cover a range of years.

The nameplate boss on the port side of the mounting bracket is shown in the picture below, is the nameplate still there... just covered with paint? If so you might be able to carefully remove the paint and see the number... otherwise maybe someone can still tell you the year from the photos.
