Need wiring diagram for 91 evinrude 225hp via email if possible!! HELP FOR NEWBIE!!

Picked up a steal, 20' grady white overnighter (seaworthy), trailer, and 91 evinrude 225hp engine for CHEAP!! Previous owner thought engine had fuel issues (wouldn't go over apprx 2000rpm) and troubleshot with external tank to no avail. So then he took all electrical items he could disconnect easily (CDI, voltage regulator, ignition coils, etc) off and decided to give up. Engine was initially VRO but VRO removed and wires taped up. I'm thinking either temp or VRO sensor BUT I can't troubleshoot till I get er back together. Mechanically and electrically inclined so that's not an option, actually worked at a marina years ago for about 5 years helping out. Problem is, got new gasket for voltage regulator, older type for this model, however, having problems with what goes where on the terminal board to tie it all together. I get the purple/purple, etc, but having some problems identifying wiring coming out of regulator and from stator. Need wiring diagram for this engine (VE225TXEIC) so that I can troubleshoot further.....email would be awesome if possible. ([email protected]). Forgot to add....believe original problem was what I remembered to be something called SLOW.......ordered manual online, but generic and no mention of SLOW....thinking a factory service manual would have exactly what I need, ordering one (eventually) but want to do my homework and ensure that the manual I get is for MY engine and not ANY engine years xxx to xxxx. Already spent $ that I'm trying to justify to my wife!!!
