I have the AQ131A that has the base timing running at 15 degrees BTDC, that is to say that my timing light shows 13-15 degrees with the engine idling at around 800 rpm or so.
As I've stated in a recent post, the engine runs great at this setting, starts great, runs great, does not overheat, no misses or backfires etc., but I've been advised to go back double check everything, pull the distributor and have it re-set and so forth.
My primary question is this: Am I hurting this engine by running it as-is?
