got a 1987 evinrude E25tecur 25 hp outboard and need to know plugs and gap

The .030 gap increases plug life BUT..........

The original recommended gap for many years (1973 to about 1991 or so was .040 . You might want to try that larger gap to engine performance is lacking somewhat to see if a difference exists.
