ive got a 1995 yamaha v4 2 stroke 115 . replaced powerhead last august . noticed today , its spitting water out the 2 exhaust ports below the cowling . ive never noticed that before . ive been told it could be anything from the powerhead bolts loose , to a gasket , to the exhaust sleeves cracked....and ive been told by a different person its normal...theres plenty of water coming out the pee hole , but its cool , even after a long run . im told that ive got a thermostat stuck open is why the waters cool , and that it should be hot coming out the hole . the water spitting out exhaust ports is warm . theres no temp guages on the motor , so i dont know the temp its running at.... ive been told everything u can think of , and ohbviously ONE OF THEM is wrong , its either normal { if so , why did it just start } or ive got problems.....and should the water coming out the pee hole { where its supposed to } be warm or cool ???
HEEELLLPPPP

The water coming out of the pee hole is supposed to be cool and most 2 stroke motors usually spit out water from the exhaust usually on older motors but if the motor gets no water in the oil and the runs fine I really wouldn't worry about it

Is the motor in the water or out when you see water from the two ports below the engine pan ? when rebuilt was pressure relief valve spring replaced? have you removed t stat covers to verify stats are there not uncommon for mechnics to remove them when rebuilding a powerhead, possible the varitherm or center of stats have been cut out this is done because shops fear a falty stat could over heat your motor causing damage while rebuild is still under warrenty with stats cut its as if there always open allowing higher water volume to pass resulting in the pressure relief to open dumping water from the two ports you described tempeture from over board indicator will also be cooler.let me know what you find
the motor can be run this way without harm however lower temp will result in poor idle usees more fuel can cause enging to carbon up over time carbon buildup can resuilt in power head failyer if you do not decarbon annualy. hope this is helpfull info.
