So I was at the Chesapeake Bay all week and notice I had water coming into the boat. Figured out the U-joint bellows had a nice slit in it. So I figure I should replace all the bellows. Should I replace the lower shift cable? I've owned the boat since '04 and have no idea when or if it's been changed. It's working well now with no problems. Also should I think about changing out the gimbal bearing? Anything else while i've got it torn apart?
I'll probably be posting more questions on here as I tear it apart so bear with me please.

Thanks guys

I'm looking for lower shift cables. There seems to be a couple different options. Does anyone know the part # of the cable I should get?

Use the latest version for the GEN II`s, Sierra18-2603 .It`s called aft entry.
1/4 -18 NPST , this is a straight tap, no taper like 1/4 in pipe tap.

Bt, is that going to work with my #1 drive? And do I need to buy the shift cable tool?

Thanks
