need some help 1979 evinrude 150hp v6

i have been restoring boat 1979 skeeter bass boat with 1979 evinrude 150hp v6 motor idles and runs but only can get it to run on water about 1800 to 2000 rpms have check compression timing cleaned carbs 4 times adjuster linkages and idle screw new spark plugs new water pump running seafoam in gas right now not ran first tank out have fuel presure changed all fuel linesdont really know how to adjust or set timing just put timing light on and seemed fine running smooth no vibration idle is a little slow but can fix thatfirst time ever restoring boat so any suggestions on why i cant get any real rpms on water would be of great help thanks in advance
 
Use the timing light to check and see if there is spark on all 6 cylinders.------------Timing is fixed so no need to do any adjusting.---------------Has the flywheel key been checked ??
 
not sure how timing was checked also no i have not looked at key in fly wheel thank u for a place to starti will let u know next day or so u knowthanks again
