Need recirculating valve diagram for 88 johnson gt 150

I'm not sure if the hoses where replaced in the correct places for the recirculating valves on my 1988 johnson gt 150. Does anyone have a diagram, my manual does not.

I don't have the diagram but drawing from memory, it's just a case of matching a outgoing valve fuel flow to a related cylinder on the same bank as follows. If I'm wrong, I'm sure a fellow member will jump in here with the proper info.

...Valve Feeds Cylinder

....Port...........Starboard
2 feeds 4........1 feeds 3
4 feeds 6........3 feeds 5
6 feeds 2........5 feeds 1

This is all that I see as I look without taking the air silencer. Doesn't seem right.

Are you sure they're recirculating hoses... OR... are they hoses leading from a fuel primer solenoid to the intake manifold, needed to prime and start the engine?

The fuel primer solenoid would have need of a spliter as only two hoses lead from the solenoid and you need 6 (pictured) to lead to the intake manifold (or carburetors). This would coincide with your penciled diagram.

They are definitely recirculating . The primer solenoid goes on top of each of the 3 carbs

I wanted ask another question. If the timing is off , how much could kill the horse power? I had a friend who tried to set the timing. He's always been great with mechanical problems but isn't sure he did it correctly
