need primer bulb info.

if you take the fuel line off at the fuel pump and plug it off and it is hooked up to the gas tank when you pump the bulb up till it is hard will it stay hard or will it bleed back Thur the bulb and get soft

Depends on just how good a plug you have at the engine side of that fuel line. Regardless..... that would have no bearing on the condition of the fuel primer bulb.

When running (fuel primer bulb is normally horizontal), the primer bulb DOES NOT stay full of fuel. The fuel level drops down to the halfway mark which is normal.

If you have a fuel bleed back problem, that is the fuel bleeds back into the fuel tank, that is due to either a malfunctioning or non existent Anti Siphon Valve.

Now, what kind of problem are you having?
