"Have twin 4.3 Mercrusier w/ Carb.
Have recommendation for Jasper Engine. Is this the best way to go? What kind of problems should I expect? Also, have an offer of an used engine from a reputable dealer with a 90 day warranty. I am told that it unlikely to buy a fully dressed Mercuiser reman. I am new owner. The other engine has been abused as well and it is suggested that I put $2000 inot upgrades on it. Is it better to replace both and with what?

"Terry, Two remanufactured longblocks ($2K each) would give you better, even power. You could also go for 305 or 350 blocks. For the bigger engines, you will need to buy intake and exhaust mannys, but I think the other stuff should bolt up OK."
