Need new distributor cap

Last year I put the pertronix

Last year I put the pertronix system in my boat. It has been running great but today it wouldn't start. I checked some usual things and the took the distributor cap off. It looked like the coil wire button on the inside of the cap was carboned up and frozen. Is there a prefered cap and rotor to use with pertronix?
The engine is a BB140A.

"As far as I know, stock from VP or Sierra equivalent are your only choices. Don't know if you can get your type of cap directly from Bosch, Echlin or other sources."
