Hey guys I have a 1972 mercury
Hey guys I have a 1972 mercury 500 serial number 3350213 . The control I got with the unit has no electrical guts everything has been gutted. I bought an after market mercury key switch today.its a teleflex serria switch. I have found the wirring digrahm but the letters on the digrahm dont match the letters on the new key switch. Any guys ever done this before.
The switch is a sierra made by teleflex. it is labeled
c = choke
m = magneto circuit
I = ignition circuit
s = solenoid
m = -------------- looks like ground
b = battery +
