We have a 1957 Johnson RDE 19 35hp outboard motor. The other day we were out on the lake running the boat and we had it in low, and everything was good until, we punched it into high and that is when the motor revved high but we didn’t go any faster. Then when we got home we seen that gas was dripping from the lower side of the motor housing, so we opened it up and seen that there was gas leaking from the intake gasket (see attached photo A) also the next day we seen gas leaking from the lower end just above the prop (see attached photo B). Also earlier that day we ran aground on a sand bar but she started right up and seemed to be fine. If anyone has any ideas of what we need to do or why this has happen please drop us a line.
