need help with getting a new fuel pump options

Might be urban legend but those jet drives were rumored to be built a lil on the 'hot' side. To offset the inherent hp loss through the jet pump I reckon. Meaning they'd have bigger carbs/jets, etc.

But that said they might just be a 'regular' powerhead bolted to a jet pump? The manuals I have make no particular distinction between the two.

Regardless. Virtually any V4 starter should fit that motor.

I have seen some fuel pumps that looked the same but had a slightly different bolt pattern which wouldn't work on a crossflow. Just make sure the pump you buy is for a 90deg V4 and you shouldn't have any problems.

re. Loose nuts. Yes. It happens. I've pulled a few apart where the bolts were so loose you wondered how it stayed together. Use plenty of locktite during reassembly.

That was the first thing i did upon rebuilding the carb and pump. I bought the starter it will be here wed, then i can find a ramp put it in the water and test the rest of it lol.

From my experience starters either work, have a bad ground, or need to be rebuilt. In that order.

I have at least a couple that 'worked last time around' in my posession. Where are you in FL?

I am in orlando, and I bought this since when i took my starter apart the magnets were broken. then the last step will be to find a cheap person to reupholster my seats
