Need help to identify 20hp outboard

I am having no luck in finding the model number 6A9 S 012515. I think it is a 1985 2 stroke 20hp model outboard. I want to strip it down to respray and need a parts list. Can someone help?

I found my serial number on a plug, like a freeze plug on the starboard side of the motor, hidden behind the electric starter just in front of the switch box. Mine is a 40 hp and may be quite diff then a 20.
To the best of my knowledge almost all american outboards put a hidden serial number on a plug somewhere, had a johnson and an evinrude that had them on a plug. Happy hunting

That number makes it a 1985 20C M Mariner. Yamaha built for Mercury but a copy of Yamaha's own older models.

It is stamped 012515 on the welsh plug.

Yes but the 6A9 makes it the Yam/Mariner, the S is short shaft
