Need help on what's wrong with my 70 Johnson jet

I have a 1975 Johnson jet, just got it back from boat shop to get its yearly tune up. Last year my boat would not always go full speed. They found I had a bad coil and replaced it. Now it starts up great, idles great but when I give it full power it doesn't go any faster.. The engine revs up and sounds like its at max rpms but it barely moves. They put a new impeller, coil, and fixed a fuel leak I had. I called them to complain and they said they would have to take it to the lake to test under a load. I would rather fix myself to save the 80.00$ an hour they charge.. Any help would be very thankful!
 
sounds like the prop has gone bad...scribe a line from the inside hub to the pronp hub and you can tell if the rubber like bonding is flaky..this happens and can be fixed with a visit to your prop shop cheaper than a new prop...
 
I think he mentions that it has a jet lower unit.--------Time to take a look at the jet pump or blockage of water going to the jet impeller.
