Hey guys, I have a question and was hoping to get some help from the local experts here. I have a 2007 Yamaha MSH 25 2-stroke on my 2010 J14 skiff. I noticed one day after a trip, that there was some oil dripping down from the cowling. I popped it open to find the nipple in the attached image loose. Couple of questions: What are these for (I am assuming oil/gas for obvious reasons....)? Also how should I go about fixing it? could I have caused any damage running the engine with it loose? Thanks for any input.

I dont know why no one posted back, those are re-circulation lines, they move excess fuel in a two-stroke from cylinder to clinder so it can be cleanly burnt. It could have hurt the motor because it would allow exess air into the fuel air mixture thus causing it to run lean, however you could have got lucky and have no problem, simply hook it back up and go fishing.

Appreciate the help brother. I was wondering if you have any tips to prevent the actual nipple from coming out of the power head.....

I assume they are press in style, you might want to get a new one and try that. if not you might be able to super glue it, sounds terrible i know but primary compression in the crankcase should only get to about 10 psi so it should work
