Have a Johnson 40 VRO without

Have a Johnson 40 VRO without name plate???? Serial number onto of motor is G2564346. It came with the boat but have no other info. It was converted to premix prior to me getting it. Needs a tune up...bogging at lower RPM's and loading when trolling.

89 or 90. Start with a compression test.These motors have a history of blowing pistons and rings.A COMPRESSION TEST IS THE WAY TO START.
