Need help identifying Mariner

76er

New member
SN OC194774

The gentlemen who has owned it for years says it is a '77 model, but has no proof.

I have searched for hours and can't find a year model reference to this engine, nor can I find any photos or videos anywhere with anything close to the side and rear decals.

I would really like to know the year model, as I am planning to use it on a restoration project and would like it to be from the correct era, which is the mid-late 70s.

I was looking at a different chart, but I certainly can't argue with the one that you're using...hmmm...the plot thickens. Are you familiar with the name and hp decals on mine? I can't find anything online even close to mine.

I don't mean to question you, but it's labeled as a 20. I saw where the OG prefix was a 15, but this is an OC as far as I can tell. The letters are still in good condition and pretty clear.
No problem to question it and I'm glad you posted the number via a photo as I see the last number as a 1 not a 4 as you have above....Sometimes every number is pretty important because that last number changed your HP to a 20 vs the 15.

0C194771 comes up as an 1989 MARINER 20_HP [MH] Model number 7020201PD.
