I need help identifying this. I had a recent power trim repair on an Alpha mercruiser stern drive, and soon after found this loose end of a cable or hose in the bottom of my engine casing. It connects to something on the lower engine block, port side, but I have no idea what it is. Anyone?

Looks like an Oil drain hose, if it goes to oil pan then that is what it is.

You would pull dran plug at back of boat, slip that thru it, remove end fitting and let oil drain info pan. (This would be gravity drain)

There are other methods to extract the oil if getting that hose out the drain hole is to difficult.

Those are very common on Inboard Ski boats

The thing I am holding in the first photo, is the end of a hose / cable lying loose in the bottom of my engine casing. It leads back to the bottom port side of my engine where it is attached to something - see last of 4 photos....
