I recently obtained a 4-stroke outboard with no Id plate and no upper cowl. The only numbers I can find I'll list: the freeze plug in the side of the block is stamped 23 023580. Behind the starter is stamped into the block in raised letters 1SZF-052. On each half of the block where they are mated together is stamped K0558. The carburetor has no numbers, just Mikuni Corr Made in Japan. The part number for the starter and the starter solonoid both cross to parts for a Suzuki 9.9 thru 25 HP for the starter, and 9.9 thru 225 for the solonoid. There is no part number on the ignition box or on the fuel pump.
The motor runs but needs a good bit of work, parts included, but I have no starting point. Suzuki has been no help identifying any of the numbers. Does anyone have an idea where I can ID the motor?
