Ignition Analyzer. Original part number for kit is 434017 but that number is for the OMC Ignition Test Kit which includes test leads. If anyone knows where I can get one from a retired mechanic or someone that has one they want to sell please let me know. I am going to spend some time searching for a used one before I spend $300 on a new one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

"CDI makes one that cross references to that number and is a 511-4017. It's not cheap either, but cheaper than the OMC one..."

"Andrew,
Have you ever seen or used this CDI tester? There is no picture to confirm the plug in connector or buttons for use. I would not want to spend $200 for a tester that does not connect to the timing sensor plug from my engine. If this unit is made for that connection I am 99% sure I will make the purchase. Thanks"

"Andrew,
Thanks for getting me the info on this new CDI tester. I have contacted 3 people that bought out or are selling out all their inventory and are looking for the original OMC model. I am going to see where this goes before I buy the CDI you have.

"Thanks been trying there keep

"Thanks been trying there keep coming up with nothing. I am going to test run the boat on the water tomorrow. If it feels like it is running smooth enough will obviously leave it alone and keep a watch all summer if need be. If it is too rough for my comfort may have to buy the new one. I have done just about evrything I can to "tune" the motor up. But I would sure like to do a sync and link job as the previous owner didn't evan change the spark plugs as needed. They needed changed 50 hours ago or more the way they looked. The gap should have been .03 and I bet it was .06. I also broke the paint loose on the lower unit after it was installed new around 3 years ago, grrrrrr, the greese was BLACK. Thanks for the help."
