starts good always. idel is ok

starts good always. idel is ok. Somestimes runs out full speed with no problem then starts to run bad then I can back off speed and it keeps running at 1/4 full. Bigest problem it starts to act up I can start it up but when I put it in drive motor dies. What is strange is that sometimes it works perfect but most of the time not. Please help!!

It sounds very much like a gummed up carb - but could be bad plugs, old gas, clogged fuel filter, blown gasket.

Was this running fine and just started this? Was it ok last season and now since you have fired it back up this problem exists????

A little more background will definately help narrow down what "may" be the problem..."
