Finally got the pistons out. One looks like a little material transferred to the cylinder. So, my questions are:
1. Would a new set of rings be OK on this piston or is the piston junk?
2. How do you remove the housing and retainer under the water pump impeller (part #0382796). This thing wont budge. Tried smacking it, heat, oil and still nothing.
3. I'm also having trouble removing the oil retainer (part#0314167)for the drive shaft that is in the housing and retainer. My guess is that it is easier to remove once the housing and retainer assembly is removed.
