Need Anyone's Help! 1998 175

okay I am hoping I can get this running since I got it for FREE! What I have is a 98 sea ray 175 bowrider, 3.0. The reason why I got it is because it was not winterized properly and cracked the waterjacket and has sat for 5 years. The boat looks brandnew, as well as the motor. Heres what I have done already:
1.) checkerd oil(no water) so I sealed the crack by "v" ing it out and using jb weld. then changed the oil and plugs.
2.) Replaced starter, slave solenoid, and 50 amp circuit breaker.
3.) After doing this the boat instantly starting turning over with great compression throughout.
4.) unfortunately I may have put it out of time when i tried to see if the motor was free before doing all this when I took out the plugs and hand turned it by the alternator.
5.) as well as there was a full tank of gas and I didnt think about draining before cranking over so it may have been initially reacted to the old gas.

Plz all suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Im so close to having this running and no marinas or mechs can get it in for a month.

Re: Need Anyone's Help!

First you need the manualmanual13 GM 4 cyl then slow down a bit
need good fuel, spark, and compression at the right time
for good fuel ,test from a outboard tank hooked directly to the fuel pump
test for spark from the coil wire to ground,
plug firing order is 1,3,4,2 ,if you never pulled the dist you never changed the timing.
Would you like my cell number??

Re: Need Anyone's Help!

That would be great along with times that would be ok to call, I also forgot to mention that when I checked for spark, I cleaned plug wires, due to I wasnt gettting spark at first. Once the gunk was off and off the ground the coil wire hada great spark.
