okay I am hoping I can get this running since I got it for FREE! What I have is a 98 sea ray 175 bowrider, 3.0. The reason why I got it is because it was not winterized properly and cracked the waterjacket and has sat for 5 years. The boat looks brandnew, as well as the motor. Heres what I have done already:
1.) checkerd oil(no water) so I sealed the crack by "v" ing it out and using jb weld. then changed the oil and plugs.
2.) Replaced starter, slave solenoid, and 50 amp circuit breaker.
3.) After doing this the boat instantly starting turning over with great compression throughout.
4.) unfortunately I may have put it out of time when i tried to see if the motor was free before doing all this when I took out the plugs and hand turned it by the alternator.
5.) as well as there was a full tank of gas and I didnt think about draining before cranking over so it may have been initially reacted to the old gas.
Plz all suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Im so close to having this running and no marinas or mechs can get it in for a month.
