Need 40 hp mercury stabilizer recomendation

I have a 40 h.p. Mercury 2-stroke on a 18 ft pontoon boat and have seen a ton of advertisements for different stabilizers that can be bolted on. The claims seem a little over the top. Any suggestions or experience frist hand. Thanks for any help.

whales tales etc, I don't think they work and when they warp probably add cavitation making the problem worse.

Why do you think you need a stableizer?

I have heard that they increase speed and efficiency.
