none of my navigation lights work. THe wiring is a mess in the boat. I see there is a grey wire and black wire going to the lights. I have a toggle switch that operates them. I am going to just run new wires. Front and rear. Can anyone tell me where the wires go to?

"Hi there,

Just find out, first, what your local legislation requires in terms of the lights.

Here in SA, the bow and stern lights need to be interlocked. In simpler terms, the bow light should be able to be switched off whilst the stern light stays on for when you're stationary. Both lights on when on the fly. The bow light may not be on if the stern light isn't. There are special switches for this purpose.

Do you have an integrated bow light? If not, the red should be on the portside and green on the starboard. I've seen some installers getting it wrong...

Make sure to run the positive lead through a fuse to the busbar or battery!

Hope this helps?

Regards,

Benjamin."
