I have a new 20 HP 4 stroke Tohatsu outboard. Been working through the break period. I finally top to 3/4 to full throttle, then I hear this knocking sound not metal to metal but more like metal to plastic. At the same time this happens the motor shakes a little, but keeps running smooth. Soon as I back of the throttle it stops. My dealer says run it till it blows then they will fix it, but has know idea what it could be. Has anyone heard of something like this or have any ideas?...........thanks much

Make a stethoscope using a wooden dowel and probe around, Check flywheel area,there's plastic and metal there

Still, your dealer should repair it under warranty.

I know they will, but I live in a very remote area, nearest dealer is 150 miles away. But that look like were I am headed...........thanks for your interest an help.
