Been racking my brain on this one on why test light didn't work and then realized I haven't used a conventional bulb test light in about 10 yrs, I use either a led or self power test light when hunting electrical gremlins. Way to many problems can be induced to computer operated systems by a standard test light, main background in automotive. I do know that the new marine engine management system are using can [computer access networks] systems, very touchy on test equipment. Jack great call on using the meter in series to find problem, old school still works. Sometimes every body needs to go back to basics, thanks for reminding me.
