I'm working on a 1957 Johnson Seahorse cdl-14. I Had good spark on the lower cyl and inermitent spark on the upper cyl. When I removed the flywheel the coils were obviosly the originals so I cleaned the points and it made no diferance. I then ordered new coils, points and condensers when the new parts came I installed all of them set points to .020 and checked to make sure there was clearance enough so the flywheel wouldn't hit any thing and when I pulled the rope it wouldn't start so I checked the spark and there is none. Either cyl.don't know where to go from here. Oh one more thing I bought all my parts from marineengine.com

Ensure your installation is correct. Point gap set at highest point of shaft. Does your motor have a kill switch? If everything is correct, the issue sounded like the current is grounded or disconnected somewhere. Corroded wires, spring(s) in spark plug booth(s) does not completely contact spark plug wires, etc...
Good luck.
