"My truck was hit by someone, my trailer is totaled, my boat is too...but the only thing wrong with the boat is the fiberglass is cracked(not bad) in the front, and the motormount and steering cables are broke. I know the insurance company of the person who hit me is not going to pay me what the boat is worth, not NADA value, at all. It's a 1993 Ranger 491 VS Comanche. A new Ranger trailer is about $5,000. I heard usually the insurance company gives you an option to buy back (boat). I just want my boat back. Any advice would help. Thanks!! [email protected]"

Get an estimate on the repairs on the boat and settle on the trailer.
They will try to low ball you so dont take their first offer, fight with them and what ever you do dont cash any checks they send, dont agree with them on the phone for anything and dont sign anything until you are getting what you want.
