"Took her and my even more beautiful, patient wife out yesterday morning, she's looking over my shoulder
.Let her warm up before wot for about thirty secs, hit 5300rpms.dropped back to 4800rpms,headed out to sea for aprox.half an hour,no problem, running sweet, give her throttle for about two mins.made a wide turn back towards the pier and
I thought I was going to need my oars.
It felt like I was out of fuel. When I dropped back to under 5000rpms she took off as normal no problems back to the pier, except a very pale not so patient wife.
.
Took it out tried again and once over 5000rpms same thing.
I rebuilt carbs, pumps and replaced fuel lines earlier this year,so what have I done wrong?
I will be taking the carbs apart as I have a small drip from the bottom carb, float not set correctly methinks.
This may be daft but I used a fuel line a millimetre less bore than what was on it,6mm instead of 7mm.However the insert I used is a mil greater than the ones that were in it 6mm instead of 5mm,would this allow too much fuel delivered to quick causing her to try and choke herself? I'm referring to my merc800 here.
As always all advice and help very much welcome and appreciated."
