my 1981 70 merch water pump kit

my 1981 70hp merc water pump kit

My water pump kit came with 2 small black O rings and I yellow flat looks like washer O ring not sure? Does any one know where they go? I looked online and don't see them anywhere on the diagrams. any one have any Idea?

there is a slinger ring that goes on the driveshaft after the pump is assembled, a oring for the pump base, 2 seals for the water tube (1 flat washer and 1 rubber sleave). Did they give you seals for the shift shaft (see pic) and 2 new gaskets for the oil fill/vent

What they do is put together a kit that will fit several models, but all components of the kit are not needed for all models that it fits,if that makes sense
