Could you please explan what is a sacrifical Anode? I have them on my drive do I need one on the boat a well ? Are they for salt water or fresh & salt. I think they are for both fresh & salt and they stop static from building up when going through the water. Am I right ?

mooring a boat at a marina with shore power is one of the most common areas of galvanic corrosion. fresh or salt.

A fiberglass hull doesn't need one.
