"Ok strange problem here. I replaced a coil and points and now have a problem when starting, the throttle wants to twist back to low, and the throttle is "stiff" like it's stuck on something. I rotate the throttle and it loosens then will move freely. I don't see anything that it's being caught on. The pull rope rewinder is dropping away just fine too..."
 
The coil was not installed pro

The coil was not installed properly and is dragging on the flywheel. Remove flywheel and move the coil so that the heels line up with the " boss " on the magneto plate.

"You are correct, only it wasn't the new coil it was the older one which must have been jarred during the new coil installation. Thanks for your help!!"
