"I bought a used Honda BF40 last weekend and I have a few questions about how to go about it.
First, Do I need to have an aluminum plate on the inside of the transom to keep the bolts from pulling thru over time.
Second, Is there a gasket or something that goes between the motor and the transom or do you just bolt it directly to the fiberglass?
Third, I have been told that the anticavatation plate should be inline with the bottom of the boat. I have a V-Hull bottom so do you hold it up a bit or line up with the very bottom of the boat.
