Is there somewhere I can look

Is there somewhere I can look up my serial number to verify the year or can someone do it quickly? The serial number is 6E9 L 500856

"Yes, Merc still mostly suppor

"Yes, Merc still mostly supports these motors. They were built by Yamaha for Mercury and were destined for the Asian/European market.

However, the 40 horse models in particular were quite popular and alot came to North America.

A number of parts are available from Yamaha, but you need to find a dealer that doesn't mind cross referenceing for you, but can be used as a source if Merc can't help."

I don't have any Yamaha/Mariner manuals - don't see the motors enough to warrent the cost, so can't help you there.
