"Hello,
I have a 2000 200 Mercury EFI on my Ranger. I was running my motor as normal in a tourney and without any warning buzzer goin off the motor just stopped. I have my regular maintinence done on it as normal.
After it died I would turn the key and the starter would engage but the flywheel seemed to be stuck. Also there was no overheating the boat was only about a mile from the ramp and just started to open her up when she stopped.
I removed the motor cover and the plastic flywheel cover to see if the starter was engaging it was and I tried to turn the flywheel by hand it seems to be stuck.
Do you have any idea what may have caused this problem, or what it could be? I am trying to troubleshoot before I bring it in to a mechanic.
