"I AM LOOKING TO BUY A 2000 SEAHUNT 17.5 WITH A JOHNSON 90 OCEANPRO. TWO QUESTIONS .FIRST. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A OCEAN PRO AND NON OP.SECOND EVEN THOUGH THE BOAT AND MOTOR HAS ONLY 50 HRS AND LOOKS IN MINT CONDITION,I CAN TELL THE BOLTS THAT BOLT THE ENGINE TO THE TRANSOM HAVE BEENREMOVED AND REINSALLED .THAT JUST DONT ADD UP TO ME .ANY IDEAS .THANKS ....DOUG"

"In 2000, the major difference between o/p and non is white paint vs blue paint. Earlier o/p's had more stainless steel. By 2000 it was easier to make all models more corrosion resistant than run two seperate lines.

As for the transom bolts, the motor may have been removed to adjust the height, or it might not be the original motor."
 
i bet they robbed the jackplat

i bet they robbed the jackplate off of it...i would knock the bolts out and put some 5200 sealer around those holes.

"thank you guys,would the factory have raised the motor ? i ran the numbers and the show the motor to be a 2000 same as the boat,its strange because all looks like new except the engine bracket has been moved up on the transom some time? maybe im just nervous in making the purchase and being too critical...thanks"
