I have a carb 2000 50 4 stroke. Last year I started have a issue with it dying anything above 3/4 throttle while on the lake. With the muffs on I can rev it to the moon. I replaced the thermostat, fuel hose with bulb, cleaned the carbs, spark plugs, fuel filter and fuel pump. Put new fuel in and still no change(maybe a little better) . At this point I'm lost. Could it be the coils that are failing at high rpms or is it a lost cause. Any advice on what I'm missing would be appreciated. If I posted this in the wrong spot my apologies its my first post.
