"Last fall I bought a 1987 Winner bass boat with a 1987 175 HP Mariner motor. It ran fine for several months but during a rain storm it cut off. It would crank back but die when I tried to put it in gear. I pulled it out of the water and drained the gas tank thinking it had gotten water in the gas. When I put it back in the water last week , it ran fine for about an hour and then did it's thing again. I cut off an inch of fuel line on each end of the primer bulb but that did not solve the problem. Can you offer help/advice to solve this problem?
