Are the Evinrude 1969 55 HP AND THE 1971 60 HP engines basically the same.

The 60 HP had 3 intake ports verses 2 for the 55 HP version.---Pistons in the 60 HP had 3 ports.-----Other than that they are mechanically the same for the most part/.-----Why the question?

I have a 1969 55 hp and have the chance to buy basically the same engine complete with the controls for parts or use as a replacement engine if needed and was wondering if any of the parts are interchangeably.

Only difference is the 1971 is a 60 hp.
