"What could be the cause of my motor bogging down? When it does this I have to throttle down for a while, then ease back up. Lately the performance doesn't improve even after the motor warms up. Is this my spark plugs or fuel filter, or something I haven't thought of?"

"It is likely a clogges fuel filter or screen, or perhaps a weak fuel pump. What HP/year of motor?"

Overheating? Is your ETC (

Overheating? Is your ETC (engine temp Control) working correctly? If the sensors detect a fault they will tell the ECM to retard the timing causing a significant loss in power until the engine temp reduces. if the power remains at a reduced rate even after you throttle down for a while i would be having a look at the ETC sensor. Get a repair manual for your motor if you dont already have one. The ETC can be tested with an ohms meter to indicate proper signal and readings. the manual will tell you what sort of resistance you should be getting from the sensors. if you have no luck let me know i can dig up some info for you.
