Can someone tell me what the numbers and the letter C means on this tag? Thanks

C does not mean much to you.-------------80 hp 1966 model year.-----93 means battery ignition and electric shift I believe.

The "C" indicates any mid-year engineering changes that were made during the model year---IF there were any changes. If there were no changes, it only signifies the beginning design. It only matters if you happen to need a replacement for the part that was changed. The parts book will note the correct part if you need it. It could be a change as simple as a screw, or as major as a crankshaft.
 
While we are on the subject of model ID can anyone tell me what the AD stands for in a 1957 7.5 hp Johnson with model number AD-ADL-11and the MQ in a 1964 9.5 Johnson model number MQ10. Thanks I would appreciate knowing.
