Mixing gear oil

Can you mix different gear oils like OMC and Quicksilver? Also, approximately how much gear oil should a 1990 Johnson 90 hp hold?

About 30 ounces.----No need to worry about mixing.

Racer, what's your thoughts on mixing the OMC's electric shift?

OMC electric shift uses ----Type-C ----Gear oil.------Now some folks think that type-C has some mythical electrical properties.----Simply because some do not know how the oil in them " works " with the clutches and bearings.

Here is the best stuff available. It has been tested with up to 15 percent water....still exceeded specification/requirements with 15 percent water. Also it is compatible with other lube should you introduce it to a partially drained unit.
